Did you know?
The 2014 edition of AFRIMA reaffirmed Nigeria’s position as the hub of African music as our musical acts dominated the winners’ list. Nigerian artistes took home the highest number of trophies, 13 in total, with the Aye crooner, Davido, carting away four of the coveted 29.3 carat gold-plated AFRIMA trophies.
AFRIMA was set:
1. To create a night of glamour, glitz and grandeur for Africa in its crowning glory through a world-class live production event broadcast to over 80 countries.
2. To foster creative and cultural exchange, fast track industry development, knowledge transfer and build bridges for the economic growth of the music.
3. To create a high-octane platform for interaction among Africans and African artistes through music where the beauty of live performance will be experienced.
